It is with great excitement that I bring you the first of the Milkshakestuck recipes:
The Dave Strider/Davesprite Milkshake!
For each Dave, there is a separate part of the shake. You will also need oreos, though not in the drink themselves. For Dave, you will need:
- 4 orange Creamsicle pops (the small ones) or 2 orange Creamsicle bar pops
- 1 cherry Creamsicle pop
- a handful of strawberries
- 4 large scoops of orange sherbet
- 1/4 to 1/3 cup milk
- 2 tbs powdered sugar
- whipped cream
Place all of the ingredients in the blender and pulse until milkshakey. You can add more powdered sugar and sherbet or add more milk to adjust the thickness. It’s better to have a thick consistency for this recipe. Place it in the freezer while you make the other one.
For Davesprite, you will need:
- 6 scoops of orange sherbet
- 2 tbs powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup half-and-half
- if you want a darker color, feel free to add red and yellow coloring.
Blend as before. Place it in the freezer as well.
It’s also a good idea to have placed your cups in the fridge beforehand (I’m using cheap glassware from a variety store, they were about 2.50 a pop, a great deal) just so they don’t melt.
While the shakes are in the freezer, we’ll make the little record accents. Take an oreo apart and scoop out the filling and eat it or whatever. Cut out a circle of thin strawberry skin, place it on the middle of the cookie bit, and place a tiny drop of frosting or cream cheese in the center of the strawberry. (Or: Use red-colored and white frosting to make it look like a tiny record. That was originally my plan, but someone tossed my frosting while I was out and I kind of had to MacGyver it.)
Take both Dave and Davesprite out of the freezer and spoon it quickly into your glasses in layers, alternating each flavor. Top it off with whipped cream and your cute little records!
This recipe makes two large milkshakes.
